As an employer you have a task of knowing how old the minor is and what the law is to see what hour shifts they can pick up and you need to make it so there not working over a certain number of hours a week. Not only are you watching there hours for work for for there hours for school also.

You will also need to know how much you have to pay them there is such a thing as minimum wage and if you pay them lower than what it is then they can press charges and you could possibly lose you position. You also will need to know what they can work with for (example- heavy equipment, stoves, forklifts, etc.)
